In a world where we’re constantly juggling notifications, meetings, and endless to-do lists, it can feel difficult to find the time and focus needed to learn something new. But at Connections, we believe learning shouldn’t feel like a chore — it should be enjoyable and engaging, just like when we were kids and every game was a new opportunity to discover something.
Lifelong Learning: The Key to Personal and Organizational Growth
Our approach to continuous development is inspired by the father of modern management, Peter Drucker, who said: “Learning is not an event, it’s a continuous process.” For us, learning isn’t just a final objective, but an ongoing journey — one that helps you grow constantly in both your career and your personal life.
Our People & Culture team also highlights why it’s essential for companies to promote continuous learning:
“Continuous learning enables employees to quickly adapt to changes in the industry and to constantly improve their skills. A company that invests in training its teams doesn’t just boost productivity, but also fosters innovation, creating an environment where new ideas are valued.”
That’s why our learning platform supports not only individual development but also collective success, encouraging an organizational culture rooted in lifelong learning.
Results That Speak for Themselves: 1,914 Courses Completed
About a year ago, we launched a learning platform for our colleagues, featuring 838 courses spanning multiple areas — from business skills and technology to leadership, HR, and personal development. There’s truly something for everyone. Whether you want to master MS Excel or improve your communication skills, the platform offers a wide range of ways to sharpen your abilities or learn new ones.
Regarding how the courses were selected, the People & Culture team shared:
“The most important criteria we considered were relevance to users, content quality, accessibility, the ability to track progress, and regular updates.”
So far, our team has completed a total of 1,914 courses. The most popular ones fall under the Technology and Business Skills categories, covering topics like collaboration, teamwork, goal setting, the basics of business writing, and the MS Office suite. With new courses added every quarter, there’s always fresh content to explore.
Top Performers’ Perspectives
We spoke with some of our most active platform users — those who stood out through their remarkable dedication and achievements. How did they get there? Through consistently earning points and certificates, and by embracing a mindset focused on continuous learning.
These interactive learning methods were appreciated by users such as Dan Săndulescu, Contract Manager in our team and one of the platform’s top users:
“The platform motivated me to keep improving myself. The courses helped me develop essential skills such as communication, leadership, and project management. I’ve applied the knowledge I gained to optimize my work time and improve collaboration with colleagues.”
Daniela, Recruitment Specialist, also shared her experience: “My motivation for using the platform regularly came from a desire to explore a wide range of topics. The courses helped me apply knowledge in my daily work, especially technical ones like Microsoft Excel or introductory programming. They provide both theory and clear examples. If I were to recommend the platform to a colleague, I’d encourage them to explore different subjects and start with the Microsoft Office courses — they’re extremely useful in any role.”Other colleagues praised how the topics matched not only their roles at work but also aspects of their personal lives:
“In addition to technical and role-specific courses, the Personal Development category was extremely valuable, offering useful insights for both career and everyday life.”
Mădălina, Recruitment Team Leader, shared how the platform even impacted her life outside of work: “The courses are short, well-structured, and cover a wide variety of topics. The Personal Development ones, for instance, helped me set goals, identify my strengths and weaknesses, and manage my priorities.”
With an ever-growing catalog of courses and countless development opportunities, we’re turning professional growth into a truly rewarding and exciting experience. After all, learning should be something to celebrate, not just another task to check off.
At Connections, we actively support and encourage continuous learning, creating an environment where curiosity is nurtured and professional and personal growth are part of everyday life.
